Virgin
Our honey for health-conscious people! Virgin is not filtered, stirred or creamed, resulting in our most fragrant honey with maximum pollen content. Because of the crystallization that naturally occurs, it has a smooth but also slightly grainy texture with a rich, fruity flavour. There’s a distinct sweetness without being overbearingly sweet. Enjoy as it is or in a cup of warm water, tea or tonic. Nice on toast with some cinnamon sprinkled on top. Can also be used in skincare as a nourishing face mask or revitalizing body scrub.
Our Virgin honey is from harvests throughout the season. We take care to reduce as much spill as possible, so we “make” the virgin honey by taking use of the honey that drips from the frame as we are removing the wax coating.
Our virgin honey exhibits a warm light amber colour and offers an intense flavour profile from its rich pollen content. The generous floral palate is complex and full of character. The liquid honey will turn solid over time, offering exciting crystals that pop on the tongue.
